Micro Needling

Micro Needling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is an innovation in aesthetic medicine for treatment of fine lines, acne scars and improvement of skin’s texture, tone and color. During the procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. Micro-Needling also creates micro-channels which allow topical gels, creams, and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing their effects in deeper layers of the skin.

Wrinkle reduction, texture and tone improvement, softer, younger looking skin with fewer signs of aging. New collagen production reverses years of sun damage. Micro-Needling can also have a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as treating uneven skin tone, acne scars, traumatic scars and stretchmarks.

Micro-Needling can be used on all parts of the body, Face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.

A sterile needle-tip containing 12 tiny micro needles is attached to the Micro-Needling pen. We apply a thin layer of  topical gel to your skin and select the appropriate treatment depth based on your unique needs. Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.

The feeling associated with Micro-Needling is similar to sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating needle tip makes the treatment comfortable.

The procedure takes 15-30 minutes depending on the size the area treated.

Immediately after the treatment you may notice a redness to the skin. The total healing time depends on the depth of needles used and number of the overlapping passes needed for your treatment.  You will be provided with an aftercare regimen and return to your normal routine the following day.

The nano-needling cartridge head uses 81 silicone tips. These microscopic hairlike cones oscillate just like the microneedle cartridge to separate the cells of the skin to drive in the topical product and allow up to 97% product absorption. This allows for the stimulation of collagen production to help with fine lines and wrinkles, a less invasive treatment for acne hyperpigmentation and an overall smoothness and plumping of your skin. Nano needling is safe to use on all skin types as it does not use heat to risks post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation as the melanocytes remain intact (as long as post care is followed).

Similar to Micro-needling, it helps with fine lines and wrinkles as well as hyperpigmentation and skin texture.

Nano-needling also feels like a smooth sandpaper. Less uncomfortable than Micro-Needling and remember, for the super sensitive faces, we are happy to apply some numbing solution to provide you with a more comfortable experience.
