Sunrise Stick Stretching
What a way to start your day! Get the blood flowing and breathe life into your joints and muscles. I often refer to stiffness as our bodies getting rusty. Well, this helps get the rust out! In this class, you will learn how you can create additional support and balance within your very own body. With the use of a stick, you can enhance greater ease of stretching and create a more flexible you! Routines are played with music and we have a lot of fun while working on increased flexibility, balance and coordination.
It is not just another stretching technique, it is a creative dance of conscious body mechanics. The routines place attention on symmetry and alignment training to include a range of motion exercises for the spine, rib cage, and extremities. You will learn how to use your hands to consciously move the stick to stretch into specific positions and directions which challenge and improve the quality of your muscles and fascia as well as strengthen your neuro pathways.
