This all-levels class explores balance in a playful way while increasing strength, coordination, postural control, flexibility, and overall whole body awareness. Balance begins in your "core" (the core is much more than just the abdomen), and strengthening core muscles helps to reduce low back pain, increase mobility in the spine, and reduce fall risk. Strong hips, ankles and gluteal muscles are also targeted in this balance practice. People who regularly take part in balance exercises have greater cognitive gains than those who do not...this class is great for your mind and body!
